HOW IT STARTED
Joie d’Or was born from a simple frustration: even the most cherished jewelry, however carefully you look after it, eventually dulls.
So we set out to make jewelry that stays beautiful and bright, pieces that look as good on the hundredth day as on the first.
MICHAEL, FOUNDER OF JOIE D’OR
Hi! I’m Michael, and I’m the founder of Joie d’Or. Travelling, animals and nature are some of my biggest inspirations behind our jewelry.
A few years ago my fiancée and I backpacked across Europe and Asia, and from every country we visited I would buy a beautiful piece of jewelry for her from a market stall or a tiny boutique, a reminder of that place and the memories we made there.
Back home, wearing those pieces always brought a smile to her face and a flashback of an amazing memory from our trip. But I could never find designs like these online or in a shop that I could actually afford, especially ones that could be worn every day. That is how Joie d’Or came to life.
MADE TO LAST
After a lot of research and testing, we created jewelry designed to be worn every day for years.
Our pieces are made with a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) finish, a durable coating that bonds to the metal and helps it resist fading. They are waterproof and made to keep their shine and color through water, sweat and everyday wear.
